After 10 years, the European Headache Federation (EHF) begins a new course, rather it returns to its origins. EHF’s cultural autonomy, well expressed in the letter of intent that served as offshoot for the creation of the Federation, letter worth remembering since it originated in Italy signed by Alessandro Agnoli, Giuseppe Nappi and Giovanni D'Andrea on November 18, back in 1989, reclaims its original independent character.
In December, specifically the 11th and 12th, the European Headache Federation, will celebrate its X Meeting in Athens, with a focus more timely than ever, on the monoclonal antibodies for CGRP, undisputed future of this therapeutic area.
We owe Prof. Dimos-Dimitrios Mitsikostas, the current EHF President, the leadership of this revival, which has for some time been incubating within the Federation.
The Federation will continue in the wake of those people from our country whom have guided the EHF as Presidents, Giuseppe Nappi and Fabio Antonaci.
The partnership with the Migraine Trust will still see us involved for Glasgow EHMTIC 2016 and the subsequent EHMTIC 2018.
