In this multimedia era, the plurality of communication formats (video, photos, music, text, infographics, storytelling) and their interchangeable combinations are intended to create a "multiple and unitary" form of communication at the same time, with contents being more accessible and shareable and with a great expressive and communicative potential. This creates effective information, in which three media and cultural traditions converge: i.e. text, audiovisual and interactivity.
In this context, we considered it appropriate to broaden the scope of the “Latest News” section which, up to now has been purely in text form, by giving the possibility to upload video messages by headache specialists. With the use of video, the speaker, on his or her own initiative or by invitation may submit events accredited by SISC, news, projects, employment opportunities, results of recent publications and other innovations in the field of headaches.
The videos should be sent to sisc@sisc.it and will undergo evaluation by the competent body. To remain consistent with the characteristic of effective and accessible content, the video should not last more than 3 minutes.
In this way, the website of the Italian Society for the Study of Headache www.sisc.it, becomes even more dynamic, and the headache expert assumes a co-authoring function, with the potential of not only being informative and educational, but also of integrating and coordinating research projects at a national and international level, as well as creating social welfare networks on headaches.
